Will Take Place at St. John’s Church, Ithaca, NY
on Saturday, October 4th

All creatures and their human friends are invited to the front courtyard of St. John’s Church, Ithaca on October 4th at 11 a.m. for the Blessing of the Animals. St. John’s welcomes residents of Ithaca and local communities to participate in this family activity.

The Blessing of the Animals celebrates the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. The Blessing of the Animals also honors the special connection and love that humans have for their animal companions.

St. John’s is located at 210 North Cayuga Street (the corner of Cayuga and Buffalo Streets) in downtown Ithaca.

Funds collected in the voluntary goodwill offering will be donated to the Tompkins County SPCA. Come celebrate with us! Bring your animal companions (on leashes, in crates or in other appropriate containers, please).
