For adults who want a healthy lifestyle while living with ongoing health challenges, Living Healthy Tompkins is presenting a 6-week program developed at Stanford University designed to help persons living with a long-term health condition.

The program is open to anyone living with a long-term health condition such as arthritis, breathing difficulties, cancer, chronic pain or fatigue, COPD, depression, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, Parkinson’s disease or many other conditions.

Topics covered include: handling pain and fatigue, managing stress and difficult emotions, developing tasty and healthy eating plans, starting appropriate physical activity and staying physically active, communication, depression, problem-solving, and planning towards and meeting goals.

Classes start Thursday, October 10 from 9:30 AM – Noon in the Chapman Room.
