Ithaca MobilePack has packed 1,225,000 meals and raised over $261,000 in the past 5 years. These meals were packed using scoops of vitamins, veggies, soy and rice into healthy 6-meal packets that were shared with children in Haiti, Guatemala, Mexico, and Liberia. Almost 7,000 volunteers of all ages were responsible for this wonderful contribution fulfilling our coined phrase “Ithaca Is Generous”.
Packing events were hosted in 2010 and 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2012 and 2013 at the First Congregational Church and, in 2014 at the LDS Church. The LDS Church will be the host again in 2015. Sharing the hosting of the packing events is a unique element of the Ithaca MobilePack.
The Ithaca MobilePack depends on the generosity of the Ithaca area to meet its goal of 300,000 meals
costing us $66,000 in 2015. Please help meet this goal.
