On Monday, August 18th, Proctor Roofing began the much-anticipated repainting of steeple, roof and exterior walls of St. John’s. The repainting project, weather permitting, will take approximately 2-3 weeks. This temporarily renders St. John’s a busy construction site. You will notice huge cranes in place to give access to the steeple and roof. Shrubbery is being removed to give access to the walls, and we will be updating the landscaping along the front of the church this coming fall/winter 2014-15.
The result should be quite uplifting!
This is the beginning of a number of capital improvement projects to be accomplished with some of the funds we raised together in our $1 million “Living Our Faith, Sharing Our Future” capital campaign this past winter/spring 2013-14. Watch for more information and photos as the work progresses.
