The film tells the story of a group of Trappist monks in an impoverished Algerian community who must decide whether to leave or to stay when under threat by fundamentalist terrorists. A 2010 Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix winner, the film is rated PG 13. Admission is free.

About St. John’s Church: St. John’s is a parish of the Episcopal Church of the USA. It has been a continuous presence in Ithaca since 1822.
